There is no doubt that every Smartphone user wants that their Smartphone should never run out of power and they continue using it for tweeting, facebooking, and foursquare-ing.
Jerry James Stone, a dsc.discovery member shared a tutorial on building a cheap and simple solar iPhone charger. You’ll require the following materials in this build:
Charging Circuit, 2x AA Battery Holder, 2x Rechargeable Batteries, 1N914 Blocking Diode,
Solar Cell (> 4V), Stranded Wire, Tape and Altoids Tin
Alternatively, you can directly order a kit from Brown Dog Gadgets. You can get the full set of instructions here and many other solar projects over at Brown Dog Gadgets.
“I used an older Arduino simply because I wanted a quick and dirty 3.3v source for the iphone to arduino serial interface. The perfboard has a tip120 to drive the remote start, all the interface wiring for the car, power supply and the iphone interface.”
Instructables member JetricaKerempuh has posted a step by step approach to build a cool tripod for your iPhone. He feels that without Tripod it’s pretty hard (and frustrating) to take any full figure shots.
For this project, you’ll need just few tools and those are — small screwdriver, measuring tape, pliers, sharp knife, superglue, small awl and iPhone tray.
Materials required are — a hard insulated wire, wine cork, 2 way double light switch, 3 wire rope clips.
JetricaKerempuh has just spend $3.5 to complete this entire project. Got surprised!! Check out here the complete tutorial to build your own Tripod.
